Purpose and role of the board

  • Executive Directors (normally the CEO and CFO who would be both full time executives but also formal company directors)
  • Shareholder Nominee Non-Executive Directors 
  • Independent Non-Executive Directors

Identifying the skill-sets and experience needed in the board

  • General skillsets (finance, investment, operations, sales, marketing, manufacturing, legal, HR, manufacturing) 
  • Sector-specific skillsets (e.g. financial services, retail, healthcare, technology)

Agreeing the diversity needed on the board
